CelPlan attended UTC Region 9 Technology Workshop<\/a> to network with utilities and learn about the new market trends. Once again the event was a success with great presentations and lots of time to network!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Utilities Technology Council (UTC) is a global association that bridges the gap between telecommunications and utility infrastructure. Representing utility workers who create and maintain critical communications systems, UTC advocates for the integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) networks into utility operations. These networks are crucial for reliability, efficiency, resilience, cybersecurity, and modernization of utility infrastructure. UTC’s mission involves advocacy, education, and collaboration to foster a favorable environment for organizations managing critical utility telecommunications systems. Founded in 1948 to advocate for radio spectrum allocation for power utilities, UTC has evolved over seven decades to represent a diverse range of utility sectors and stakeholders, positioning itself at the intersection of energy and telecommunications industries as they converge and become increasingly interdependent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UTC Region 9 meeting is where utility professionals and value technology partners will collaborate on important issues such as technology, market trends, business strategies, and industry solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Region 9 serves the states of:<\/strong> Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington; Region 9 also includes the Canadian Provinces of British Columbia & Alberta<\/p>\n\n\n\n
