CelPlan recently attended the 6th edition of InovaPortos, held in São Luís, Maranhão, on June 17-18, 2025. Our Product Director, Paulo Sigrist, represented the company at this gathering focused on “Digital Transformation and AI in the Port Sector.”
The event brought together industry leaders, technology specialists, and port authorities to explore how artificial intelligence and digital innovation are reshaping maritime operations. Through panels, presentations, and case studies, participants examined real-world applications of technologies in port environments, from automated systems to predictive analytics.
The conference addressed key topics including Port Community Systems (PCS), smart port implementations, innovation hubs, and the regulatory frameworks supporting technological advancement in the sector. Presentations covered successful digital transformation initiatives from major Brazilian ports.
For CelPlan, the event provided networking opportunities and insights into current innovation trends within the port industry. The discussions highlighted both the technical possibilities and the human factors involved in implementing digital solutions. One recurring theme was the importance of change management and the need to address cultural shifts required for successful technology adoption.
